New blog & website!

Hey, just in case there is someone who still reads this (in addition to Aaron), I thought I'd put a link to my new blog.  I got tired of the whole myspace blog thing - it's pretty ugly, and decided I really like wordpress; you don't have to be a member to post comments and that just appeals to me.  Every blog should let anyone post!  Anyway, I've made a new site and all ... at the moment the address is www.MattMcNutt.wordpress.com, but in another few days it will be www.MatthewMcNutt.com (at the moment I'm having domain transfer issues, so it still goes to my old site).

Wow ... it's been officially over a year since I've written anything here ... that's because I blog over on my myspace account now; www.myspace.com/matthewmcnutt

I also have facebook ... but I don't really do too much with it.  I'm mostly just aware it's there ... but that's about it.  I have a feeling I'll be facebooking like crazy in another year or two, but that's just a hunch.  I tend to do whatever the teens I'm working with are into; six years ago it was all about AOL instant messenger, four years ago it was xanga, now it's myspace ... but as teens are graduating into college, they're apparently graduating into facebook ... so my usage of that is slowly picking up!

Anyway, just a couple ramblings for the two people who read this!

NEW WEBSITE!!!

Okay, so I couple things to update y'all on ... I finally have my new website up!  I still want to make some changes and additions (audio, video, etc.), but it's up and live!  Check it out:  http://www.matthewmcnutt.com

And finally, don't forget to watch ME on The Biggest Loser at 8pm tonight on NBC!!!

Week two results have been posted on NBC.com!  And I am pumped.  Week one I dropped twenty pounds ... not bad, but not the best.  My friend John, from Arizona had an amazing 24 lb drop which made him #1 out of all 50 contestants.  However, week #2 I managed to work off 16 pounds.  SIXTEEN.  And at that point, my system was already cleaned out from week one!    Now here is where I am particularly satisfied ... including the ranchers, the number one loser for number of pounds at this point in the competition is Ken, the rancher from WA, with an impressive 38 pounds total lost at this point.  Tied for second place is Marty, the rancher from Missouri, and myself.  The at home contestant from Maine!!!  We've both lost a total of 36 lbs at the end of the seond week.  SWEET!  My goal all along has been to at the very least match the ranchers ... and so far I'm beating all but two of them.  I'M LOVIN' IT!!!  I never knew I was this competitive before!

Everyone just assumes you can only drop big numbers if you are living on the ranch with personal trainers and people doing your grocery shopping for you.  Not true.  It's all about making the decision to put in the work wherever you are.  For me, that meant working out about two and a half hours a day.  Any more than that was impossible because I work full time and have a family to take care of!
